The carrot washer was designed to have a thru put of +/– 6 ton per hour.
The carrots are fed into the drum via a hopper which is hand fed by means of crates or lug boxes, but can be fed by means of a conveyor belt.
The complete washer is manufactured from 304 stainless steel and has adjustable feet for uneven flooring.
The drum and the brush roller is driven by means of geared motors. Once the drum turns, a scroll feeds the carrots thru the drum and a roller brush washes the carrots gently removing all dirt of the carrots. A high pressur pump sprays water into the drum and the dirt is removed thru perforations in the drum.
